Twitter Spaces For Android Has Come
As the craze around Clubhouse grew, Twitter is pushing its Spaces to the public at large quicker. It started by rolling Spaces to iOS users initially in December and Android users earlier this month. While the iOS version has all the essential features of making and engaging in an audio chat, the Android version is limited. Users in Twitter Android are allowed to participate in other’s chats but not allowed to make their own rooms. This is changing, as the beta version of Twitter Android version 8.87.0-release.01 is seen to provide the option for creating Spaces (rooms) now.

Tapping on the icon, you’ll see the Spaces option right above the GIF and Photos options. Eligible users can then create Spaces (rooms) and name them as desired. These Spaces are public for now, and Twitter may allow users to create private spaces in the future. Also, users can enable captions, react using emoji, turn on or off the microphone and sound effects, and invite other people to join the room via DM or a shareable link. When Twitter planning to bring this to all is uncertain yet. But when rolled out, it will put the iOS users and Android users at par. Also, other players like LinkedIn, Telegram, Facebook, and Slack are making their own versions of Clubhouse.
